Principal’s Message
Welcome to Henry C. Lea Elementary and Middle School
Dear FamiLea,
As the proud principal of Henry C. Lea Elementary and Middle School, I extend a heartfelt welcome to our school community! As both a West Philadelphia resident and a parent in the School District of Philadelphia, I am deeply committed to building joyful and liberating schools where every child can thrive.
Guided by the wisdom of Dr. Gholdy Muhammad, I firmly believe that every student holds inherent genius. It is our collective responsibility as educators to help unlock and nurture that brilliance.
At Lea, we stand by our mission that All Students Can Learn and our theme of LEAding by Example Always. We recognize you, our families, as your child’s first and most important teachers, and we are honored to partner with you on this educational journey. Together, we will create a nurturing environment where your child’s genius can flourish and their learning experience is both fulfilling and empowering.
With gratitude,
Principal Julia Snyder (she/her)
